You can apply until via festival OPEN CALL 2018 till September 15th, after this date are applications closed. LIST OF REVIEWERS WILL BE PUBLISH SOON!
There are only 40 places available!!! 6 meeting with experts are guaranteed and all meetings are in english language.
After Open call selection we will announce winners and contact them via email. Each winner will meet about 6 reviewers in two days in average. You have to choose your top 6 specialists you would like to meet in the review. The working sessions with each specialist will have a maximum duration of 20 minutes. You will have chance to see many reviewers during Photowalk.
Although we cannot guarantee that you will meet with all specialists that you have selected, we will try to respect your order of preference.
The list of reviewers will be ready, we will do allocation at the end of October and You will get Your time-schedule till the end of October 2018.

Thomas Licek, Managing director of Eyes ON – Month of Photography, Vienna | AT
Born 1963 in Vienna (Austria). Working as an Arts Manager since 1991, he organized the Month of Photography Vienna from 2004 until 2016. Besides developping formats for photography with Eyes On, he is Secretary General of the European Month of Photography (EMOP) and board member of Reflektor, a newly formed platform from photographers for photographers.
Dušan Kochol founded and now directs and curates a photographic festival in Bratislava. The OFF_Festival Bratislava is held simultaneously with the Month of Photography and it enriches its program with a platform for fresh talents of the photography scene. For the ninth year, the mission of the event remains to provide a large-scale platform for the presentation and promotion of new artists working with the medium of photography. “As a director and chief curator of OFF_Festival Bratislava, I am always looking for new or emerging photographic talents for possible future collab-orations.”
Dušan Kochol graduated in Promotional Art Design from the School of Applied Arts, attended pho-tography courses at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and London College of Fash-ion. The Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees were completed at the Institute of Creative Photography, Silesian University in Czech Republic. As a contemporary artist, his projects have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. In 2016 he was pre-sented with the Photographer of the Year award for the significant contribution to the quality, devel-opment and promotion of Slovak photography at home and abroad and the following year Kochol became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Harri Kalha, Curator and art researcher, The Finish Museum of photography in Helsinki | FI
Harri Kalha, Ph.D., is a scholar, critic-curator and prolific writer based in Helsinki. Kalha has written 15 books on fine and applied arts, photography and cultural history. He has been nominated twice for the coveted Finlandia Prize for non-fiction literature. In photography his main interests have been contemporary art, folk photography and anonymous photographs as well as popular post-cards.
Branislav Štěpánek, Curator, Dramaturgy of the festival Month of Photography, Bratislava | SK
Branislav Štěpánek (1974) študoval fotografiu na Institutě tvůrčí fotografie v Opave. Venuje sa pub-licistike v oblasti histórie a teórie fotografie so zameraním na súčasnú tvorbu v stredo a výcho-doeurópskom regióne. Podieľa sa na dramaturgii a organizácii festivalu Mesiac fotografie. Žije a pracuje v Bratislave.

Curator in the field of photography. Curated over 250 exhibitions in Russia and internationally. Chairman of the jury of the international competition for the Best Photography Book of Eastern and Central Europe, held at the Month of Photography in Bratislava. Reviewer at international portfolio reviews, held in Berlin, Bratislava, Buenos Aires, Houston, Krasnodar, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, Plovdiv, Porto Alegre. Curator of the New Gallery in Moscow. Curator of the special projects of the International Festival of Photography PhotoVisa in Krasnodar.
Krzystof Jurecki, PhD in history of art, critic and historian and freelance curator | PL
Critic, curator and historian of arts. PhD in the humanities. The dean of the Artistic Department in University of Humanities and Economics and lecturer of Film School in Lodz. Between 1998-2005 the head of dept. Photography and Visual Arts in Museum of Arts in Lodz. He organised many ex-hibitions in Poland (e.g. Joseph Beuys, Jan Saudek, Erwin Olaf). He is also interested in avant-garde art and post-modern theory. He is interested in a different kind of photography in relation to the art (painting or video-art) or own photographic tradition, e.g. documentary photography, staged photography, digital image. Since 2002 he has been a main juror of international competition “Cy-berPhoto” (Częstochowa) and since 2011 international Biennial of Arts in Piotrków Trybunalski. From 2008 he is writing blog.
Gigliola Foschi, Curator and critic of art and photography | IT
She is teacher of History of Photography at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in Milan and writes for the magazines Gente di Fotografia and Il Fotografo. Her latest book is Fotografie del silenzio. Forme inquiete del vedere (Pictures of Silence. Restless ways of seeing), Mimesis, Milano, 2015. She wrote the text about the Italian photography for the encyclopaedia The History of European Photography 1970-2000, Central European House of Photography, Bratislava, 2016. She is member of the MIA Photo Fair advisory committee.
Martin Fojtek, Curator, Head of Galeria Fotografic, Prague | CZ
V roce 2003 založil Galerii Fotografic v Praze (ČR), kterou tedy vede již 15tým rokem a kde se kontinuálně věnuje také kurátorské činnosti. Pořádá výstavy zejména mladším, začínajícím autorům, ale i umělcům starším, již zavedeným, u kterých však vždy hledá nový pohled na jejich tvorbu. Pečlivě se věnuje i architektuře jednotlivých výstav, kde často překračuje tradiční možnosti prezentace uměleckých děl. Kromě fotografie se zaměřuje i na oblasti s fotografií související a na přesahy do jiných uměleckých žánrů (experimentální film, multimediální instalace, současná malba apod.).

Michał Łuczak (b. 1983), photographer, curator and editor of photobooks. Graduate of the Institute of Creative Photography of the Silesian University in Opava, Czech Rep. (PhD) and the Iberian studies from the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland (BA). Author of several photobooks (Bru-tal, Koło miejsca / Elementarz with Krzysztof Siwczyk, 11.41, with Filip Springer). His work has been recognised with a Magnum Expression Award (Honorary mention) and Mio Photo Award, as well as awarded Polish Photographic Publication of the Year. A member of Sputnik Photos since 2010.
Špela Pipan, Curator at Photon, Centre for Contemporary Photography in Ljubljana | SLO
Špela Pipan is a curator at Photon, Centre for Contemporary Photography in Ljubljana. She graduated from BA and MA Culture, Criticism and Curation at Central Saint Martins in London. Both during and after university she participated in a variety of curatorial projects, engaging with several mediums, albeit with the focus on photography. She started working at Photon at the beginning of 2018, where she took over a leading role in organising the international competition Different Worlds aimed at young photographers from the CEE region. She closely works with the director Dejan Sluga in organising Photon’s exhibitions.

Alnis Stakle is artist, educator and member of the Board of Directors of Riga Photmonth. Riga Pho-tomonth is a new international photography festival in the capital of Latvia. The first festival took place in 2014 as an official event of the European Capital of Culture. Festival aim is to turn Riga into a meeting platform for Nordic, Baltic and the former USSR photography scenes, giving rise to a mutual dialogue and new ideas. He is founder and director of the bachelor's study programme in photography at Riga Stradins University. His work is included in several private and public collec-tions and has been exhibited widely, including solo exhibitions at the Latvian Museum of Photog-raphy, Latvian National Museum of Art, The Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, Mark Rothko Art Centre in Daugavpils, Latvia, Modern Art Oxford, Art Center ‘Winzavod’ in Moscow, Centre for Fine Arts BOZAR in Brussells.
Martina Grmolenská, Photographer, editor of the FOTO Magazine | CZ
Narozena 1978 v Olomouci. Je absolventkou Semináře dějin umění FF Masarykovy univerzity. (Během studia absolvovala stáže na Universität Zürich, Universidad Santiago de Compostela a Universität Wien). Fotografii se věnuje jak po praktické, tak po teoretické stránce. Vedle své komerční a volné tvorby se podílí na vydávání časopisu FOTO, kde je zástupkyní šéfredaktora. Ve fotografii hledá co nejširší možnosti obrazového vyjádření a k tomutéž se snaží inspirovat i své studenty. Výstavba obrazu, rozhodující i nerozhodující okamžiky, význam barevné skvrny, více než padesát odstínů černobílé fotografie … to je jen pár namátkových témat, se kterými se na jejích přednáškách a dílnách můžete setkat.
